Combined Heat and Power Quality Assurance (CHPQA)

If applying for a biomass CHP installation with Ofgem, it is important that the you are certificated to the CHPQA scheme

Changes to the way the biomass CHP tariff will be paid means it is imperative your system is at least 20% efficient electrically to ensure the full tariff. The tariff will be pro-rationed depending on efficiency between the standard biomass tariff and the higher biomass CHP tariff, it is therefore important you fully understand how much financial support you will receive from the scheme and that you have the relevant certification.
