Following a successful application for funding through the Low Carbon Building Programme and the Community Sustainable Energy Programme, Flegg High School is now the proud owner of a Proven 6 kW wind turbine.

The new turbine will generate a significant amount of the school’s electrical demand and is a shining example of how the future generation and local community can be influenced by renewable technology. “The local residents of Fleggburgh and the school community were enthusiastic to the prospect of a turbine and had the vision to see the benefits.
