Innovative primary research and development has been spearheaded by Andrew Robertson, managing director of Clean Energy Consultancy and successful research programmes have been initiated since 2003 culminating in liquid biofuel being recognised by the Government and incorporated into the Draft Table 12 SAP 2009 Building Regulation Fuels which are due to come into force 2010. In effect, liquid biofuel is becoming mainstream for the heating industry.
