Great Barton Village Hall

A renewable technology project for a community village hall.

Renewable and Energy Saving Technologies

Several technologies were evaluated for this project including a Dimplex heat pump, solar
thermal, a 3.8 kWp solar PV system and a 2.5 kW wind turbine.

Study Outcomes

The solar thermal and the wind turbine were not viable options for the site. However, the heat pump and solar PV system were both suitable for the project. The heat pump was installed in January 2010.
